About the Course
The project aims to train emergency medicine physicians, pediatric emergency medicine physicians, anesthesiologists, intensivists (reanimatologists), and radiologists in the protocols listed below.
Within the course, you will learn:
The basic operating principles of an ultrasound machine;
Ultrasound assessment of thoracic cavity organs (the FATE protocol);
Ocular ultrasound assessment in trauma patients;
Ultrasound assessment of major abdominal emergencies in adult and pediatric populations;
Pediatric sonographic characteristics;
Ultrasound assessment of unstable patients (the RUSH protocol);
Nerve plexus access under ultrasound guidance;
Lumbar puncture under ultrasound guidance;
Pericardiocentesis under ultrasound guidance.
Along with theoretical instruction, practical workshops are included.
Upon completing the course, participants will receive a certificate accredited by the Ministry of Health of Georgia (18 credit points) that is valid for 2 years from the date of issuance.
