Point-of-Care Ultrasound in Emergency Medical Care (POCUS) - Level I

Learn the fundamentals and protocols of emergency ultrasound (EFAST, FATE, BLUE, RUSH) within a two-day practical training course. The course is accredited with 12 credit points.

About the Course

The program has been developed in accordance with international standards for emergency medicine and aims to train medical specialists in emergency ultrasound and ultrasound-guided medical procedures.

Within the course, participants will learn:

• Ultrasonography research fundamentals;

• Ultrasound assessment of trauma patients (the EFAST protocol); 

• Lung ultrasound (the BLUE protocol);

• Central vascular access under ultrasound guidance;

• Thoracentesis under ultrasound guidance;

• And paracentesis under ultrasound guidance.

Along with theoretical instruction, practical workshops are included.

Upon completing the course, participants will receive a certificate accredited by the Ministry of Health of Georgia (12 credit points), valid for 2 years from the date of issuance.
