Point-of-Care Ultrasound in Emergency Medical Care (POCUS) - Level I

This program has been developed in accordance with international emergency medicine standards and aims to train medical specialists in emergency ultrasonography and ultrasound-guided medical procedures.

During the course, participants will learn:

• Fundamentals of ultrasonographic examination

• Extended Focused Assessment with Sonography in Trauma in the emergency department (EFAST protocol)

• Central venous access, thoracentesis, paracentesis, pericardiocentesis, and lumbar puncture under ultrasound guidance

• Focused ultrasonographic assessment of thoracic organs (FATE and BLUE protocols)

• Ultrasonographic examination in hemodynamically unstable patients (RUSH protocol)

The course combines theoretical instruction with hands-on practical training.

Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate accredited by the Ministry of Health of Georgia (12 CME credits) and valid for 2 years from the date of issue.
