The program includes creating a safe environment, adult CPR with one and two rescuers, use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), wounds and bleeding, shock, trauma/burns/electrical trauma, as well as early recognition and first steps for life-threatening conditions (cardiac arrest, heart attack, stroke, seizure, diabetes, asthma, anaphylaxis).

Understanding the "Chain of Survival"
Performing adult CPR and safe use of an AED
Recognition of foreign body obstruction and initial assistance
Primary management of bleeding and shock
First aid for trauma, burns, and electrical trauma
Early recognition and initial response to life-threatening conditions (stroke, seizures, hypo/hyperglycemia, asthma, anaphylaxis)
