Advanced First Aid - Level II

The course is oriented towards those who may encounter emergency situations in daily life or the work environment, who want to master deeper, more structured approaches.

Topics include a brief overview of respiratory and cardiovascular system anatomy/physiology, adult CPR, management of foreign body obstruction in the airway, wounds and bleeding, shock, life-threatening medical conditions, systematic assessment of the victim (primary/secondary), trauma, burns, conditions caused by environmental factors (heat stroke, hypothermia, frostbite), poisoning, and animal bites.

• Knowledge of the basics of anatomy and physiology of the respiratory and cardiovascular systems for better planning of assistance

• Conducting primary and secondary assessments of the victim

• CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and management of foreign body airway obstruction

• Recognition and assistance for situations caused by environmental factors (heat stroke, hypothermia, frostbite)

• Primary management of poisoning and bites

• Communication with the emergency medical services team
